The VI Peel line is gentle and safe for most people. The team may not recommend a chemical peel if you take medication that makes your skin more sensitive or you have a skin infection. 

What happens during aesthetic treatments?

The team reviews the details of your aesthetics treatment at your consultation so you know what to expect. 

While you relax in the aesthetics chair, your provider cleans your skin with an antiseptic agent and then applies the peel, which is left in place for a set period of time and then removed. 

Your aesthetics provider then applies a cooling gel and sunscreen to your skin. Chemical peels make your skin more sensitive and you must take extra precaution in the sun to prevent hyperpigmentation.

What can I expect after my VI chemical peel?

You can expect some redness and swelling immediately following your VI Peel. Your skin starts peeling within a day and continues to flake and peel for up to 4 days.

It’s important that you let the skin fall off naturally. Picking at your skin during the healing process may cause scarring.
